Job summary

NV5 is seeking an MEP Project Manager II to oversee one or more smaller or intermediate projects, assemble teams, and manage scope, schedule, and cost. You will prepare contracts, develop work plans, and ensure quality and client satisfaction while reporting to senior PMs.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in consulting engineering or 5–8 years as an Assistant PM, a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Construction Management, familiarity with Vision and CAD/BIM, and active involvement in a trade

Qualifications

• Recommended 5 to 8 years progressive Assistant Project Manager experience or a minimum of 8-10 years progressive consulting engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of both.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Construction Management from an accredited University with a minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience.
• Must have general understanding of design or commissioning project requirements.
• Must have the ability to utilize computer systems (Vision) to effectively manage projects.
• Recommended to have a general understanding of CAD/BIM operations.
• Must be able to work-sites as needed or required.
• Must be at least a member and on a committee of (1) trade specific organization (ASHRAE, ASPE, AIA, etc).

Responsibilities

• Oversee one or more smaller or intermediate sized projects.
• Assembles project teams, coordinates, and delegates individual responsibilities, develops project schedules and is responsible for determining and acquiring resources needed, project execution, quality and client satisfaction.
• Monitors project tasks to maintain budget, schedule, and scope of work.
• Prepares periodic status reports and presents to clients.
• attends client meetings.
