Job summary

Haley Ward, Inc. is seeking an experienced MEP Project Engineer/Manager for our Bangor, ME office. You will plan, organize, design, and control project activities to meet schedules and budgets, focusing on commercial building systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 8 years in the consulting industry developing and managing MEP projects from design through closeout.
• Demonstrated experience in the design and development of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans and specifications.
• Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD.
• Proficient in using Trane Trace 3D plus for heat and energy modeling.
• Strong leadership with the ability to mentor and coordinate teams.
• Ability to identify and navigate codes, regulations, standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage project proposal development through planning, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction.
• Supervise, coordinate, and review work of engineers, technicians, and designers.
• Manage projects, oversee and delegate tasks, and engage in project design.
• Design projects from concept to substantial completion.
• Promote new business for the company and for own area of expertise.
• Prepare agreements including scope, schedule, work plan, fees and monitor financial performance.
• Cultivate relationships and seek cross-selling opportunities with existing clients.
