Job summary

Haley Ward, Inc. in Portland, ME, seeks an experienced MEP Project Engineer/Manager to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects for commercial buildings, from concept to substantial completion.

You will plan, organize, design, and control project activities within schedule and budget. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or Engineering Technology), a Professional Engineer license, 8+ years in consulting, and proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, and Trane

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Professional Engineer License required.
• 8+ years in the consulting industry developing and managing MEP projects.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans and specs.
• Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Trane Trace 3D Plus for energy modeling.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate codes, standards, and best practices.
• Effective coordination and management of multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee proposal development through planning, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction.
• Supervise, coordinate, and review work of engineers, technicians, and designers.
• Manage projects, delegate tasks, and engage in design of projects.
• Design projects from concept to substantial completion.
• Promote new business for the company and area of expertise.
• Prepare scope, schedule, and fees; monitor financial performance.
• Cultivate relationships and seek cross-selling opportunities with clients.
