Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing in Houston seeks a Mechanical Engineering professional to work with design and engineering teams to review requirements, specifications, and modular construction plans, ensuring they meet industry standards and client specs.

You will assist with deliverables such as P&IDs, BOMs, stress and pipe-flow analyses, and the sizing of chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and motors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• EIT certification preferred but not required.
• Internships in MEP/HVAC are a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/SolidWorks/Revit advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project deliverables like P&IDs and BOMs.
• Assist with stress analysis and pipe flow analysis.
• Assist with sizing of chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps and motors.
• Review drawings, models, and BOMs at tollgate stages.
• Assist in cost estimates and proposals.
• Interface with cross-functional teams.
• Assist lead Project Engineer to meet contract requirements within budget.
• Support QA/QC and production issues.
• Assist with O&M and installation manuals.
• Site work to capture as-built redlines.
