Job summary

Socket.dev in Honolulu, Hawaii is seeking a Project Engineer to track costs, analyze data and keep projects on budget. You will coordinate with field crews, review drawings, materials and resources to ensure efficient delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in MEP construction. You will monitor production, update schedules, manage invoices, and ensure safety and compliance across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in MEP construction engineering.
• Experience with cost accounting, budgeting and scheduling.
• Knowledge of design-build or alternative build methods.
• Ability to lead engineering teams and manage project production.

Responsibilities

• Meet with engineering and field crews to review production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment and resources.
• Review all shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data.
• Provide technical input for project work plan and scheduling.
• Identify risk elements that could impact budget or schedule.
• Evaluate daily production, schedule and budget projections to track performance.
• Update project schedule weekly for owner and management reporting.
• Prepare and manage a three-week work plan and notify changes.
• Initiate and manage RFIs.
• Remit accurate project quantities using cost coding for reporting.
• Manage invoicing with accounting team for materials and subcontractors.
• Review certificates and permits needed to perform work.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses for safety and compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews.
