Job summary

American Bridge Holding Company is seeking an MEP Project Engineer for the East River RFK Bridge rehabilitation project in New York, NY. The role oversees subcontractors in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.

You will collaborate with project management and engineers on coordination efforts, develop sequencing, and lead commissioning, turnover, and handover activities for all MEP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years Experience in MEP.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• General knowledge of building construction means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Leads, directs and coordinates the work of subcontractors with regard to the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems included in the project.
• Ensures safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed and adherence to budget of the project.
• Managing work among assigned trades to promote a coordinated project operation and resolve issues.
• Manage site safety program and subcontractor compliance with standards and safety codes.
• Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule, efficiencies and budget.
