Job summary

The City of New York is seeking an Administrative Project Manager - NM for the Bureau of Capital Design and Construction. The role manages bridge rehabilitation projects through design and construction, directing engineers, resident engineering staff, consultants, and contractors to meet project objectives.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans and contracts, coordinating with NYCDOT and external agencies, controlling scope, schedule and budget, and preparing project reports.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree in engineering or related field with 5 years of engineering design/construction experience, plus supervisory responsibility.
• Alternate qualifications include a high school diploma with 9 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in supervisory roles.
• Master's degree or professional licensure may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee design/construction phases of bridge rehabilitation projects; supervise staff and consultants.
• Review contract documents, plans, schedules, and cost estimates; ensure compliance with requirements.
• Coordinate with NYCDOT divisions and external agencies; manage risks and communications.
• Develop project reports; administer contracts and progress payments; maintain project schedules.
