Job summary

American Bridge Holding Company is seeking an MEP Project Engineer to oversee coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractors on the East River RFK Bridge rehabilitation project in New York, NY.

You will ensure safety, schedule, budget adherence, and quality of work while guiding field teams and interfacing with owners and engineers to resolve field issues and optimize system integration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in MEP projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Leads, directs and coordinates the work of subcontractors with regard to the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems included in the project.
  • Responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed and adherence to budget of the project.
  • Managing work among assigned trades to promote a coordinated project operation.
  • Managing the overall site safety program as required and ensuring subcontractor compliance with standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
  • Creating schedules and determining sequencing of work; developing recovery strategies to maintain schedule and budget.
  • Communicating with owners and engineers in connection with field issues and resolving them.
  • Working with the Engineer on coordination for all mechanical, electrical and plumbing layouts for all trades.
