Job summary

Jobtailor in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead the planning, design, and coordination of plumbing systems for commercial, industrial, and public facility projects. You will produce plumbing drawings, specifications, calculations, schedules, and cost estimates, evaluate existing systems, and support permitting, bidding, and construction phase activities.

Required: 5+ years of plumbing design experience, knowledge of codes, experience with Revit or AutoCAD, and a PE or EI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent building systems design experience.
• Plumbing design experience required.
• 5+ years in plumbing design within consulting engineering or building design.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, academic, municipal, healthcare, or water/wastewater facilities.
• Working knowledge of plumbing codes, building codes, energy codes, and industry standards.
• Experience with potable water, hot water, sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage, natural gas, and specialty piping.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, coordination, and construction administration of plumbing systems.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate plumbing with HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and other disciplines.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and participate in site observations.
• Assist with public bid documents, permitting, agency coordination, and construction-phase support.
• Develop recommendations for repairs, replacement, and code compliance.
• Participate in client meetings and internal design coordination meetings.
• Support project managers with scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
