Tighe & Bond is seeking a MEP Project Engineer (Plumbing/Fire Protection) in the Northeast with 5+ years of plumbing design experience. You’ll collaborate with cross‑discipline teams to deliver coordinated designs for diverse facilities, ensuring code compliance and client satisfaction.

The role offers a hybrid work environment in MA, with opportunities for professional growth and involvement in significant infrastructure projects across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of plumbing design experience in a consulting engineering environment.
• Experience designing plumbing for commercial, institutional, or municipal facilities.
• Working knowledge of plumbing codes, building and energy codes, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems for renovations, additions and new construction.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, schedules, details, reports and cost estimates.
• Coordinate potable water, hot water, sanitary waste, storm drainage and gas piping systems.
• Perform field surveys and evaluate existing building systems.
• Coordinate plumbing design with HVAC, electrical, fire protection and architectural disciplines.
• Support fire protection design coordination and project delivery activities.
