Job summary

Tighe & Bond is seeking a seasoned MEP/Mechanical Project Manager to lead HVAC-focused projects within our Building Services team. You will coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and owner teams across the Northeast, including offices in Middletown, CT and other locations.

A hybrid work environment supports professional growth while delivering critical infrastructure projects. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in HVAC design, PE licensure, and a track record in consulting engineering or building

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or closely related field.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience with HVAC design focus.
• Experience managing mechanical/MEP projects in consulting or building design environments.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ventilation, hydronic heating/cooling, building controls, energy efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC-focused projects and coordinate with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, and owner teams.
• Design and oversee HVAC systems for renovations, additions, new construction, and upgrades.
• Evaluate existing HVAC systems and develop energy-efficient, decarbonization strategies.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams across occupied facilities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide QA/QC on mechanical design work.
• Support public bidding, RFIs, submittals, and commissioning activities.
