Job summary

Cornerstone Concilium is seeking an MEP Inspector Rail Transit to visit construction sites, inspect stages, and verify conformance with plans, specs, and codes. You will assist in obtaining permits, monitor safety, and prepare nonconformance reports.

Ideal candidates have extensive MEP rail experience, ability to read plans, and strong reporting and organizational skills to support a safe, compliant project environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (ten years MEP rail experience for Associate; ten years for Senior/Lead).
• Ability to read plans and understand project specifications.
• Ability to interpret and implement safety policies and submit written reports.
• Strong organizational and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction sites at each stage up to completion.
• Interpret plans, specs, and codes to verify work.
• Assist in obtaining approved designs and permits from utility companies.
• Monitor safety violations and prepare Non Conformance Reports.
• Maintain daily activity logs and progress reports.
• Coordinate inspection resources and supervise inspectors.
• Attend meetings as needed.

MEP INSPECTOR Rail Transit

Duties

• Visits construction sites and inspects each stage of construction up to completion Interpret plans specifications and codes and verifies contract work is performed in accordance with them Assist in obtaining approved designs and permits from utility companies for services to construction sites Monitor construction sites for safety violations Prepares Non Conformance Reports when work is not performed to the approved standards Maintains daily activity logs and reports Review or prepare interim progress reports for contractor payments Monitor contractor testing activities Prepare reports on labor material and equipment on site Determine construction conforms to plans and specifications if not issue Non Conformance Reports for corrective action Assist in maintaining supporting and promoting a safe work environment while complying with the owner agencys safety rules policies and procedures Coordinates preparation of inspection cost estimates and maintenance records Arranges coordinates and oversees technical inspections on MPE installations for conformance to specification requirements Coordinates independent test laboratory activities and compares verifications test results with result from Contractors laboratory May allocate inspection resources and supervise inspectors Attend various meetings as needed Salary Range 8000 to 9300 HR

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalentApproximately Ten 10 years of MEP rail experience for Associate positions approximately ten 10 years of experience for Senior and Lead positions which reflect a progressively increasing level of responsibility on complex projects as a General Contractor Building Construction Supervisor Building Inspector of large commercial or industrial construction projects heavy construction projects transportation or transit construction projects for the appropriate disciplines including utilities civil architectural structural electrical mechanical and trackwork Certificates from ICBO NEC ICC NICET or other nationally recognized licensing entities Comparable Deputy Inspection License for a county for city agency Cal OSHAOSHA 30 training certification Able to read plans and have a good understanding of project specifications Must be able to interpret and implement company mandated safety policies Must be able to submit written reports and documentation Good organizational and computer skills
