Job summary

Cornerstone Concilium is seeking qualified inspectors to visit construction sites, inspect stages, and ensure compliance with plans, specifications and codes. You will assist with permits, monitor safety, prepare Non-Conformance Reports, and maintain logs.

Role requires extensive MEP rail experience, plan literacy, and ability to produce reports. Reading plans, interpreting specs, and enforcing safety policies are essential for success on large commercial projects.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Approximately ten (10) years of MEP rail experience for Associate/Senior/Lead roles.
• Certificates from ICBO, NEC, ICC, NICET, or comparable deputy inspection license.
• Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30 training certification.
• Able to read plans and have a good understanding of project specifications.
• Must be able to interpret and implement company mandated safety policies.
• Must be able to submit written reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Visits construction sites and inspects each stage of construction up to completion, interpreting plans, specs and codes.
• Assist in obtaining approved designs and permits from utility companies for services to construction sites.
• Monitor construction sites for safety violations and prepare Non-Conformance Reports when standards are not met.
• Maintain daily activity logs and reports.
• Review interim progress reports for contractor payments and monitor testing activities.
• Prepare reports on labor, material, and equipment on site.
• Ensure conformance to plans and specifications; issue Non-Conformance Reports for corrective action.
• Assist in maintaining a safe work environment and adhere to safety rules.
• Coordinate inspection cost estimates and maintenance records.
• Arrange and oversee technical inspections for MPE installations.
• Coordinate independent test laboratory activities and compare verification tests with Contractor’s results.
• Allocate inspection resources and supervise inspectors as needed.
• Attend meetings as required.

• Assist in maintaining, supporting, and promoting a safe work environment while complying with the owner agency’s safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinates preparation of inspection cost estimates and maintenance records.
• Arranges, coordinates and oversees technical inspections on MPE installations for conformance to specification requirements.
• Coordinates independent test laboratory activities and compares verifications test results with result from Contractor’s laboratory.
• May allocate inspection resources and supervise inspectors.
• Attend various meetings as needed

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Approximately Ten (10) years of MEP rail experience for Associate positions, approximately ten (10) years of experience for Senior and Lead positions which reflect a progressively increasing level of responsibility on complex projects as a General Contractor, Building Construction Supervisor, Building Inspector of large commercial or industrial construction projects, heavy construction projects, transportation, or transit construction projects for the appropriate disciplines including utilities, civil, architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical and trackwork.
• Certificate(s) from ICBO, NEC, ICC, NICET, or other nationally recognized licensing entities Comparable Deputy Inspection License for a county for city agency
• Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30 training certification
• Able to read plans and have a good understanding of project specifications.
• Must be able to interpret and implement company mandated safety policies.
• Must be able to submit written reports and documentation.
