Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; FE exam passed and actively pursuing PE licensure.
• 5+ years of progressive experience; ability to lead design efforts and coordinate small to mid-scale projects.
• Proficiency in Revit; experience with AutoCAD, BIM coordination, HVAC load calculation software, energy modeling tools, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Design and document MEP mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, building automation, and temperature controls for various facilities.
• Produce Revit models, construction documents, drawings, specifications, diagrams, 3D models, and reports.
• Perform mechanical engineering calculations: heating/cooling loads, energy modeling, ventilation, equipment sizing, system selection.
• Apply building codes, ASHRAE standards, and guidelines to ensure compliant solutions.
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and team coordination.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams for integrated outcomes.
• Support QA/QC, construction administration, submittals, RFIs, field observations, and coordination with contractors/owners.
• Lead project documentation and mentor junior staff.
