Job summary

Salas O’Brien in the United States (New England area) seeks a Construction Administrator to liaise between design teams, contractors, and owners during construction, ensuring design intent is upheld on site.

You will review submittals and RFIs, perform site visits, coordinate communications, and maintain thorough documentation using CM platforms. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/fire protection is required; 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and/or plumbing and fire protection systems construction.
• 3–5 years of foreman/PM/MEP coordinator experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; comfortable with online CM tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-priority team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and track submittals and RFIs for compliance with project specs.
• Perform site visits to observe progress and document field conditions.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners to resolve issues.
• Assist in responding to construction questions during the CA phase.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and correspondence.
• Use web-based construction management platforms to monitor active projects.
• Prepare written reports and meeting notes as required.
