Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Expert for data centers. This contract role is remote, with a commitment of 5–10 hours per week. Immediate start is expected, with compensation detailed as an hourly rate.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in data-center MEP design, strong knowledge of data-center systems and codes, and the ability to interpret large document sets while clearly explaining technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Review complex engineering tasks in data-center environments focusing on cooling, hydronic systems, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Check engineering assumptions, calculations, and standards. Ensure compliance with codes and equipment data.
• Identify ambiguities and improve task prompts, acceptance criteria, and rubrics.
• Validate corrected tasks end to end. Produce clear technical findings.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines.
