Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Expert for data centers on a contract basis. This remote role fits a motivated professional who can review complex MEP tasks asynchronously and deliver clear technical findings.

Immediate start with 5–10 hours per week. You will interpret large document sets, verify calculations, ensure code compliance, and contribute to improved task prompts and rubrics for data-center projects.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience in data-center or mission-critical MEP design.
• Strong command of data-center systems and relevant codes.
• Ability to interpret large document sets and explain technical issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Review complex MEP tasks in data-center environments focusing on cooling, hydronic, HVAC and electrical systems.
• Check engineering assumptions, calculations, and codes; ensure compliance with data center standards.
• Identify ambiguities; improve task prompts, acceptance criteria and rubrics.
• Validate corrected tasks end to end; produce clear technical findings.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines.

Compensation: $100–$140/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 5–10 hours/week
