Job summary

Lemartec Corporation seeks an Estimator II in Miami, an intermediate-level role responsible for estimating and pre-construction primarily for MEP scopes. You will independently prepare bid documents, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates, while coordinating with subcontractors and design professionals.

The position builds on prior estimating experience, contributes to bid strategy and value engineering, and mentors Estimator I team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in estimating/pre-construction.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and online research.

Responsibilities

• Independently create, review, and evaluate bid documents.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and develop cost estimates for assigned trades.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor bids.
• Coordinate directly with subcontractors, architects, and engineers to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.
• Actively participate in value engineering efforts and provide cost-saving recommendations.
• Maintain and manage RFIs, bid logs, and estimating documentation.
• Collaborate with project management and construction teams to ensure alignment on scope.
• Assist with subcontractor pre-qualification and performance feedback.
• Support bid reviews and presentations with the Chief Estimator.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
