Job summary

EverHire in Dallas seeks an experienced Estimator to lead estimating and preconstruction on ground-up data center projects across DFW and Texas, building cost models that drive multi-million-dollar decisions. You will partner with design-build teams from concept through GMP.

Responsibilities include producing conceptual through GMP estimates for electrical, mechanical and plumbing scopes, performing quantity takeoffs, and developing detailed cost models; you will also solicit pricing from subs

Qualifications

• 5+ years MEP or heavy-industrial estimating, preferably on data centers or mission-critical.
• Proficiency with takeoff/estimating tools (WinEst, Bluebeam, Assemble).
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution and mechanical cooling systems.

Compensation: $130,000–$185,000 base + bonus

The role

You' ll lead estimating and preconstruction on ground-up data center projects across DFW and wider Texas — building the cost models that win and de-risk hundreds of millions in mission-critical work. You'll partner with design-build teams from concept through GMP.

What you'll do

• Produce conceptual through GMP estimates for electrical, mechanical and plumbing scope
• Perform quantity takeoffs and build detailed cost models for hyperscale campuses
• Solicit, level and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Identify value-engineering and constructability opportunities with the design team
• Support bid strategy and present estimates to owners and internal leadership

What you'll bring

• 5+ years MEP or heavy-industrial estimating, ideally on data centers or mission-critical
• Fluency in takeoff/estimating tools (WinEst, Bluebeam, Assemble or similar)
• Deep understanding of electrical distribution and mechanical cooling systems

Nice to have

• Experience with modular / prefabricated MEP delivery
• Prior work with a top-tier data center GC or MEP subcontractor

Why this role

Texas is the densest data center construction cluster in the country — DFW, Abilene and Austin all building at once. Estimators who know MEP are scarce and command a premium over commercial-market peers.
