Job summary

The Hagerman Group in Fishers, IN is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator focused on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing for commercial construction. You will manage estimating projects, review plans, take-offs, cost analysis, and collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

This full-time role emphasizes bid development, cost accuracy, and schedule alignment, with opportunities for pre-bid participation, risk assessment, and post-bid analysis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of work experience in large-scale vertical commercial construction estimating.
• BA/BS/AS or other accredited degree may substitute for up to 4 years of experience.
• Demonstrated verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Preferred experience with preconstruction estimating.

Responsibilities

• Reviews project plans and documents to understand scope for MEP systems and performs take-offs.
• Analyzes labor, equipment, subcontractor costs and overhead; prepares detailed estimates.
• Collaborates with project team and stakeholders to align estimates with schedules and requirements.
• Participates in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid strategy sessions.
• Monitors estimates throughout the lifecycle and provides cost analysis reports.
• Assesses constructability and develops bid strategy with internal/external teams.
• Organizes bid day activities and manages bid-related communications.
