Job summary

Jobot is seeking an MEP Estimator to join our Rochester operations. This role focuses on pure estimating within commercial mechanical systems, covering sheet metal, piping, and plumbing scopes. You will report to the Chief Estimator and collaborate across offices on diverse project types.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in pure estimating for commercial MEP and a track record on multi-million to $100M projects, with a collaborative mindset and ownership of deliverables.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pure estimating experience in commercial MEP environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (sheet metal, piping, plumbing).
• Experience on projects ranging from several million to $100M; preference for us/mechanical contractor background.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial MEP projects (sheet metal, piping, plumbing).
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate budgets.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support bid strategy.
• Participate in multi-office estimating efforts as needed.
• Mentor and support junior estimators.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
