Job summary

WSP USA in Dallas invites an MEP Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will work in the Property and Buildings Team on real projects alongside senior staff, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship through the Developing Professionals Network.

This 12-week internship starts May 17, 2027, with a focus on supporting mechanical, electrical, or plumbing tasks and learning from a dedicated mentor. Housing is not provided.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing or related Undergraduate program; graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Interest in MEP and willingness to grow skills related to WSP’s projects.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Able to take direction from mentors and managers on projects.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, MS Office, and basic software/tools.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering with an assigned MEP Mentor.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
