Job summary

WSP USA in Dallas, TX is offering a 12-week Summer 2027 MEP Engineering Intern position for students enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing programs. This internship provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real projects alongside senior engineers.

Interns will assist with field work, preliminary design calculations, cost estimates, and documentation under a designated mentor, with no relocation or housing assistance provided.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in MEP or related field and desire to advance skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Capable of taking direction from leadership and mentors.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and tools.
• Uphold safety policies and procedures.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical, social, and ethical skills through engineering tasks.
• Learn basic MEP principles with mentor.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Support preparation of final design plans and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
