Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks an Electrical Design Engineer (MEP) to join a growing engineering firm in Carmel, Indiana. The role focuses on designing electrical systems for commercial and institutional buildings, from design through construction.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electrical design experience, strong Revit and AutoCAD skills, and familiarity with NEC/NFPA standards. FE/EIT or related credentials are a plus, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

3+ years of electrical design, electrical engineering, or building systems experience.
Strong proficiency with Revit is required.
Experience using AutoCAD.
Knowledge of commercial building electrical systems.
Familiarity with NEC and NFPA standards.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
FE/EIT certification, progress toward PE licensure, RCDD, LEED, or related credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical and technology system designs for commercial and institutional buildings.
Create construction documents and detailed drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
Design electrical power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
Work with systems including fire alarm, telecommunications, security, and other building technologies.
Coordinate designs with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and engineering teams.
Participate in field investigations and periodic construction site visits.
Review equipment submittals and assist with construction-phase activities.
Ensure designs comply with applicable NEC, NFPA, and building code requirements.
