Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is assisting a growing MEP consulting engineering firm in hiring an Electrical Project Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, academic, and building projects.

This role invites engineers eager to expand project ownership and client-facing responsibilities, offering opportunities for leadership, technical growth, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical MEP/building design experience
• EIT or PE preferred; PE candidates encouraged
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting/controls, and fire alarm systems
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and develop single-line diagrams
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, and technical reports
• Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and other disciplines
• Participate in client/project meetings
• Support construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings
• Assist with project scheduling, coordination, and technical execution
• Mentor junior engineers and designers
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IBC, and applicable codes
