Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer / Designer (MEP) to design electrical systems for commercial and institutional buildings. The role emphasizes Revit design, collaboration with architects, and construction documentation from design through construction.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electrical/building systems experience, strong Revit and AutoCAD skills, and a solid understanding of NEC/NFPA standards. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical design, electrical engineering, or building systems experience.
• Strong proficiency with Revit is required; AutoCAD experience is a must.
• Knowledge of commercial building electrical systems and NEC/NFPA standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred; related credentials are a plus (FE/EIT, PE path, RCDD, LEED).

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and technology system designs for commercial and institutional buildings.
• Create construction documents and detailed drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Design electrical power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Work with fire alarm, telecommunications, security, and other building technologies.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and engineering teams.
• Participate in field investigations and periodic construction site visits.
• Review equipment submittals and assist with construction-phase activities.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, and building code requirements.
