Job summary

Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. is seeking a Drafter to join our design and project support team in Newark, NJ.

You will produce accurate 2D shop drawings and 3D mechanical, plumbing, and ductwork models using AutoCAD MEP and Revit, coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, and architects, and run clash-detection workflows. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package, competitive weekly pay, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus split across milestones.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of drafting experience in plumbing/HVAC/mechanical
• Proficient in AutoCAD MEP or Revit
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints
• On-site work at Newark, NJ headquarters
• Strong English communication and collaboration with PMs and field staff

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive 2D shop drawings and 3D mechanical, plumbing, and ductwork models from plans
• Use AutoCAD MEP and Revit to draft spatial layouts for commercial projects
• Run automated clash-detection workflows with Navisworks to resolve conflicts
• Collaborate with Project Managers and field supervisors to incorporate feedback into submittals
• Organize and maintain digital drawing logs, revisions, and BIM files
