Job summary

Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. seeks a Drafter to join our design and project support team. The Drafter will convert design concepts into accurate 2D shop drawings and 3D mechanical, plumbing, and ductwork models using AutoCAD MEP and Revit for commercial projects.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to align drawings with codes and project requirements. This full-time on-site role at our Newark, NJ headquarters requires 2–3 years of drafting experience in

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of drafting experience in plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical trades.
• Proficient in AutoCAD MEP or Revit; Navisworks or SysQue a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret complex commercial architectural, structural, and MEP blueprints.
• On-site full-time at Newark, NJ headquarters.
• Strong English communication for coordination with project managers.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive 2D shop drawings and 3D mechanical, plumbing, and ductwork models.
• Use AutoCAD MEP and Revit for accurate layouts on commercial projects.
• Run Navisworks clash-detection workflows to resolve conflicts before fabrication.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and field supervisors to incorporate feedback.
• Organize and maintain digital drawing logs, revisions, and BIM coordination files.
