Job summary

McGough is seeking an MEP Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and delivery of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls systems on complex projects. Working with the MEP Project Manager, you will assist in procurement, field execution, commissioning, and closeout activities.

The role develops technical knowledge of building systems while ensuring safe, high-quality, and profitable project delivery across phases. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in commercial construction or related industry.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building controls systems.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to become familiar with project scope and owner requirements.
• Check A/E documents for compliance with owner requirements, codes, constructability, and industry standard practice.
• Participate in design review meetings and page turns with clients and the A/E team.
• Assist with constructability reviews and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Assist in identifying value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
