Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our growing Prime MEP division. You will develop strategies, goals, and objectives to deliver projects safely, on time and on budget with high client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include project management, controls and team leadership, ensuring safety compliance and effective communication with stakeholders throughout design, construction and closeout phases. The pay range and benefits reflect market competitiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with scheduling software: Microsoft Project and/or Primavera required.
  • Experience working for a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and required.
  • Basic estimating skills required.
  • Proficient with construction financial programs and software such as Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud preferred.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of accounting and financial management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify resources to achieve project goals.
  • Generate preliminary assessments, fee proposals, presentations, studies, and general support.
  • Primary contact for project engineering staff during construction.
  • Transition project management and engineer activities from design to construction phase and construction to completion phase.
  • Communicate with the General Contractor, Architect, Engineer, Owner, and other stakeholders.
  • Support development strategies, goals, and objectives specific to project execution at each project phase.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules and scopes of work.
  • Define project responsibilities to project management, engineering and field staff.
  • Documents and resolves subcontractor and vendor billing issues.
  • Assist the business development team in responding to requests for proposal and bid process.
  • Assess site safety and implement actions to prevent injury to property and personnel.
  • Ensure safety compliance of subcontractors and all on‑site personnel.
  • Deliver accurate and timely data to support project forecasts.
