Job summary

PC Construction Company seeks an experienced MEP Coordinator to support project managers and superintendents across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and commissioning operations. A four-year degree in CM or engineering plus 5+ years of related construction experience is required.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Construction Management or Engineering or related field.
• Five+ years of industrial/commercial construction experience as a Project Engineer or equivalent MEP role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain required project reports, forms and logs (shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, change orders, delivery schedules).
• Establish procedures for decisions and documentation flow among owner, architect and subs.
• Review contract to determine submittal requirements.
• Coordinate timely delivery of materials for self-performed or subcontracted work.
• Verify material deliveries for accurate quantities and types.
• Prepare owner change orders for PM review and manage subcontractor submissions.
• Negotiate MEP subcontract change orders.
• Act as liaison between owner and vendors for installation of owner-supplied equipment.
• Ensure MEP services allow equipment installation and identify scope deficiencies.
• Schedule and chair pre-commissioning meetings; align commissioning goals with Architect/Engineer.
• Coordinate commissioning with owner's or third-party commissioning agents.
• Support estimating to identify cost/scheduling issues and constructability constraints in MEP scope.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the master project schedule with sufficient time for commissioning.
• Work with subcontractors to meet the overall project schedule.
• Coordinate underground/site utilities (electric, gas, lighting, water, wastewater, telecom).
