Job summary

CAI in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead the installation, startup, and testing of MEP and control systems on complex capital projects. You will develop commissioning plans, conduct tests, review reports, and ensure safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work with project managers and field technicians, travel as needed, and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role emphasizes hands-on testing, documentation, and seamless project handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
• Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer in life sciences or mission critical industries.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Familiarity with commissioning procedures, testing methodologies, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the commissioning process of MEP and control systems for projects.
• Develop detailed commissioning plans, including testing schedules, procedures, and required documentation.
• Prepare and review test reports, commissioning documentation, and final project handover packages.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
