Job summary

Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. is seeking a Drafter to join our design and project support team in Newark, NJ.

You will convert design concepts and drawings into precise 2D and 3D CAD models for mechanical construction, working closely with project managers, engineers, and architects. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years drafting experience in plumbing/HVAC/mechanical trades and is proficient in AutoCAD MEP or Revit, with Navisworks or SysQue as a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of drafting experience in the plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical trade.
• Proficient in AutoCAD MEP or Revit; Navisworks or SysQue a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret complex commercial blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive 2D shop drawings and 3D mechanical, plumbing, and ductwork models.
• Draft spatial layouts using AutoCAD MEP and Revit for commercial projects.
• Run clash-detection workflows with Navisworks to resolve spatial conflicts.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and field supervisors to incorporate feedback.
• Maintain digital drawing logs, revisions, and BIM coordination files.
