Job summary

Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. is seeking an experienced Drafting Manager to lead the drafting team and coordinate drawings for active mechanical construction projects in New Jersey.

You will work with the President and Project Managers to ensure accurate, constructible shop drawings for field installation teams. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in drafting, 3–5 years of drafting experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in drafting, architecture, engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of demonstrable experience as a Drafter.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and the ability to produce high-quality drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in drafting.
• Familiarity with construction and manufacturing processes with an understanding of design standards.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• ADDA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings using CAD software to produce detailed 2d/3d drawings, floor plans, elevations, and cross-sections.
• Work from rough sketches or specifications to understand project requirements.
• Add detail to architectural and mechanical plans for proper installation.
• Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products.
• Ensure all drawings meet industry standards and building codes.
• Collaborate with president and project managers for accurate drawings.
• Other duties as assigned.
