Job summary

MMR Group, Inc. seeks a BIM Tech to design models, coordinate with trades, and produce 3D representations for electrical construction projects. The role requires reading drawings, applying NEC knowledge, and delivering accurate as-builts in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will work on-site in Austin, TX, collaborating with project teams to resolve issues, review RFIs, and ensure compliance with local codes. A high school diploma or GED is required, with an Associates degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have BIM Coordinator/Detailer/Modeler experience.
• Proficient in MEP REVIT.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Must be able to work in-person at our Austin, TX job site.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities

• Design models (coordination, shop drawings and as-builts).
• Assist with the system design, model all content, and coordinate the model with other trades.
• Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment within designated job specifications.
• Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
• Read one-lines, panel schedules, etc. to execute 3D modeling.
• Work with site foremen to ensure clarity and ease of constructing modeled work into a built environment.
• Review construction drawings for conflicts and ensure compliance with codes.
• Coordinate draft construction drawings with other trades for routings and clearances.
• Perform site surveys and field measurement work as needed.
