The Walsh Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for its Data Center Group in Mount Pleasant, WI. You will support MEP scope management on large, complex data center projects from preconstruction through commissioning.

Key duties include coordinating design development, BIM/clash detection, and oversight of critical systems installation, while tracking schedules, budgets, and subcontractor performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years managing MEP scopes on complex projects (data centers preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, mechanical cooling, and redundancy.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with commissioning, integrated testing, and turnover of critical systems.

Responsabilités

• Support management of MEP scopes on large data center projects from preconstruction to commissioning.
• Coordinate design development, constructability reviews, and BIM/clash detection.
• Support critical systems installation oversight (power, UPS, generators, cooling, fire protection, BMS/EPMS).
• Manage MEP schedules, phasing, and sequencing to milestones.
• Assist in subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, and contract administration.
• Support QA/QC, inspections, and compliance with mission-critical standards.
• Track budgets, cost reports, and change management for MEP scopes.
• Participate in commissioning planning and testing activities.
• Assist with closeout docs like O&M manuals and as-builts.
• Coordinate with field teams, consultants, commissioning agents, owner reps.
• Support safety, site logistics, and workface coordination.
• Maintain project docs and logs.
• Identify issues and assist risk mitigation.
• Contribute to preconstruction budgeting and trade engagement.
