Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western seeks an Assistant Project Manager for its Data Center Group in Mount Pleasant, WI. You will support MEP scopes on large-scale data center projects from preconstruction through commissioning, coordinating BIM processes and facilitating design reviews while ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3–5 years of experience managing MEP scopes on complex projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, cooling, and mission-critical systems
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
• Experience with commissioning and integrated testing processes

Responsibilities

• Support management of MEP scopes on large-scale data center projects from preconstruction through commissioning
• Coordinate design development, constructability reviews, and BIM/clash detection processes
• Oversee critical systems installation including power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling, and BMS/EPMS
• Assist in subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and performance tracking
• Support QA/QC, inspections, and compliance with mission-critical standards
• Track budgets, change management, and documentation for MEP scopes
• Participate in commissioning planning and functional testing
• Assist with closeout documents such as O&M manuals and as-builts
• Coordinate with field teams, consultants, and owner representatives
• Support safety planning and site logistics
• Maintain project documentation and risk mitigation efforts
• Contribute to preconstruction budgeting and trade engagement
