Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Santa Clara is seeking a Design Application Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to assist from design concept through tape-out, with emphasis on first-time-right design execution.

You will translate customer requirements into technical recommendations, collaborate with EDA partners and internal teams, and help develop technical collateral and design-flow guidance for successful customer designs.

Qualifications

• Sophomore year in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• English fluency (written & verbal).

Responsibilities

• Review and reproduce customer and design enablement issues; assess requirements and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with Application Engineers, internal SMEs, EDA partners and technology teams.
• Track actions, risks, cases, milestones and closures; support process improvements.
• Develop customer-facing presentations, notes, evaluation summaries and technical documentation.
