Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to perform cutting, prep, display, and selling of meat products. You will ensure quality, safety, and excellent customer service across shifts, while mentoring trainees and supporting store initiatives. Candidates should have 14+ months of retail experience and complete WFM butcher training.

The role requires physical capability, a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Whole Benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.
• UK Exceptions may apply.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven ready products, cured meats).
• Checks product to meet WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage.
• Mentors and supports Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Arrives on time, groomed and ready to work; attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
