Sunset Park AmeriCorps is a full-time service program for people age 18 and older, serving students in New York City. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in counseling or youth development preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly one-on-one check-ins with student caseload to monitor progress, attendance, behavior, and personal goals.
• Facilitate weekly group sessions on social-emotional learning, academic support, goal setting, and engagement.
• Coordinate with teachers and school staff to identify needs and develop interventions.
• Maintain monthly family communications and track attendance and grades.
• Document services and outcomes with clear case notes and collaborate with leadership.
