Job summary

CAMBA Inc in New York City seeks a part-time Mentor Teacher for CAMBA Kids Connection.

You will design instructional materials, provide coaching to Youth Facilitators, and maintain professional relationships while following safety and privacy policies.

This role supports after-school programming Monday through Friday 3 hours after dismissal; compensation is $53.05 per hour; fingerprint and SCR clearances required; benefits included.

Qualifications

• Certified Public School Teacher or MA with mentoring/conflict resolution experience.
• Experience mentoring staff or counseling is preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop instructional materials and lesson plans for staff development workshops.
• Provide group and individual support to Youth Facilitators.
• Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to health/privacy policies.
• Ensure safety by following after-school protocols and reporting incidents.
• Lead classroom management and supervise staff in activities with children.
• Offer feedback and professional guidance to staff; model best practices.
• Coordinate with school staff regarding homework assistance and academic issues.
• Prepare information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports to CAMBA management.
