Job summary

The Educational Alliance Inc. is seeking part-time Afterschool Leaders for the 14Y After School Program in New York City. You will be directly responsible for the wellbeing and safety of participants in K-5th grade, supporting a neurodiverse community.

On-site role requires 2:30pm-6:15pm availability at least 3 days per week from September 14, 2026 through June 4, 2027 with orientation in September. You will supervise, guide activities, and uphold safety and inclusivity standards while

Qualifications

• Must be 18+.
• On-site availability 2:30pm–6:15pm at least 3 days per week from September 14 to January 22 and January 25 to June 4, with staff orientation in September.
• Previous experience with children ages 5–10 preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all community members, modeling positive conflict resolution.
• Ability to be a mentor and a resource to students, staff, families, and to foster cultural inclusiveness.

Responsibilities

• Attend all days of staff orientation before After School.
• Attend all scheduled After School days and monthly staff meetings.
• Pick up students from designated locations and escort them safely to the 14Y.
• Communicate regularly with the After School Program Manager.
• Collaborate with co-Group Leaders and Social Work Interns.
• Maintain standards of conduct, behavior management, and inclusion.
• Uphold Afterschool values (Personal Growth, Empathy, Respect, and Passion).
• Participate in supervision and evaluation processes.
