Job summary

Hudson Regional Health is seeking a Part-time Mental Health Worker for the day shift in Hoboken, NJ. The role supports patients with daily living activities, participates in group therapy, and helps maintain a safe therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit.

Required BA/BS in Psychology or Social Work or related field, with 2–4 years of related experience; AHA BLS is preferred to support patient care and crisis intervention efforts.

Qualifications

• Education: BA/BS in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• Experience: At least 2-4 years related experience.
• Qualification: AHA BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes and assists assigned mental health patients and helps with daily living activities, therapeutic activities, and socialization.
• Responsible for the overall maintenance of a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Attends and participates in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings.
• Performs and records information about patients including vital signs, weight, glucose monitoring, and demeanor.
• May communicate with the patient's family as needed.

Part-time with prorated benefits, Day shift. 7am to 3:30pm. Rotational weekend Saturday and Sunday.
