Job summary

Hudson Regional Health in Hoboken, NJ, seeks a Mental Health Worker for the full-time evening shift to support patients in the psychiatric unit, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a therapeutic environment.

You will participate in group therapy, document patient information, and communicate with families as needed; a BA/BS in Psychology or Social Work is required, with 2–4 years of related experience and AHA BLS preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Observes and assists assigned mental health patients and helps with daily living activities, therapeutic activities, and socialization.
• Responsible for the overall maintenance of a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Attends and participates in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings.
• P erforms and records information about patients including vital signs, weight, glucose monitoring, and demeanor.
• May communicate with the patient's family as needed.

Main Functions

3pm to 11:30pm. Rotational weekend Saturday and Sunday.
