Job summary

Generations Healthcare—Gramercy Court is seeking a Mental Health Worker to support clients by ensuring adherence to program guidelines, communicating with residents, providing rehabilitation groups, and assisting in crisis intervention. Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months job experience.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, staff, and the public.
• Requires background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Escort clients to groups and record participation.
• Facilitate groups and activities as assigned.
• Lead MHW discussions as assigned.
• Lead community meetings daily.
• Record client group participation in tracking calendar.
• Pass out and collect tracking calendar weekly.
• Document interventions and interactions in the medical record.
• Report changes in behavior to charge nurse and Program Counselor.
