Job summary

Generations Healthcare is seeking a Mental Health Worker to support clients in a skilled nursing setting. The role involves overseeing adherence to program guidelines, communicating with clients, providing rehabilitation groups, and assisting in crisis intervention.

Responsibilities include leading groups, recording participation, and coordinating tracking calendars within the medical record. A background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• At least 6 months job experience.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff.
• Willingness to handle difficult residents and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Escort clients to groups and record participation.
• Facilitate groups and activities as assigned.
• Lead MHW discussions.
• Lead community meetings daily.
• Record client group participation in tracking calendars and logs.
• Encourage attendance and participation in groups.
