Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Emergency Center at Taylor Hospital. You will support licensed nursing staff, provide direct patient care, and help maintain the nursing unit under supervision.

Position is full-time, night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am), 36 hours weekly. BLS and CPI training are required; a behavioral health background is preferred with strong communication and adaptability.

Qualifications

• Completion of Mental health Certificate program, 2 years college with major in Behavioral Science, or 4 years equivalent work experience in a behavioral health setting. Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field preferred.
• 1 year in behavioral setting preferred.
• BLS and CPI training required
• Good communication skills.
• Work well in an unpredictable environment.
• Must be able to occasionally handle working in a high paced stressful environment/situation

About this Unit

The emergency department provides emergency care to all populations from newborn to geriatric. Specialty services include Level 2 trauma center, Center of excellence for heart and vascular and stroke. Comprehensive orientation including EC (Emergency Center) focused immersion program.

About Taylor Hospital

A Magnet-designated hospital that is a recognized health care leader serving the area since 1977. It offers specialty services that include 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, an inpatient rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including advanced CT with cardiac scoring, fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK and elastography).
