Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Mental Health Unit Manager for the McRae Women's Facility in McRae-Helena, GA. The role plans, directs, and monitors mental health services for inmates assigned to the unit, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and state regulations.

The MHUM will lead treatment staff in evaluating and planning treatments, delivering therapeutic services to inpatients and outpatients, and managing daily administrative operations of the unit within the prison

Qualifications

• Masters level degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Active Mental Health Professional license preferred; Registered Interns and/or new grads may be eligible for intern license.
• Current tuberculosis documentation and CPR certification required.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a full-time Mental Health Unit Manager to join our team at McRae Womens Facility located in McRae-Helena, Georgia.

The Mental Health Unit Manager (MHUM) is responsible for planning, implementing, directing, and monitoring services and programs for inmates/patients assigned to the Mental Health Unit at a state prison. This role is also responsible for directing treatment staff in evaluating, planning treatments, and delivery of therapeutic services to inpatient and outpatient inmates as well as managing daily administrative processes and operations of the Mental Health Unit.

Qualifications

• Masters level degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field from an accredited educational institution required
• Active Mental Health Professional license preferred; Registered Interns and/or new grads/eligible for registered intern license
• Must show current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
