Job description

Mental Health Transport Team Leader (Marlborough)

• To support and transport vulnerable service users as part of a team.
• To be able to attend the office within one hour during on-call shifts
• Maintain Enhanced DBS (organised and paid for during Induction)
• To provide a professional and caring service for all patients whilst in our care.
• To ensure that at all times patient safety remains paramount, and safe systems of work are adhered to
• To support the care of patients during assessments in line with the Mental Health Act
• Safe use of Company vehicles and equipment, preparing required patient paperwork and driving to local and national locations.

Mental Health Transport Assistant: Fulltime 46.25 hours contract-Worked on a 4 on 4 off rolling shift pattern, alternating between 4 days and 4 nights.

Due to the nature of the Business and Client requirements, we reserve the right to change the working times with reasonable notice. At times flexibility will be needed due to the care provisions for patients which may result in over-runs or the need to reduce hours depending on work levels.

This contract is paid ata blended rate of £14.09 p/h (Day, Night and Weekend Shifts).Annual Remuneration to start from £33,896.20 based on expected hours.

• Over-runs paid at £22p/h
• Enhanced pay of £1.20 extra per hour for work at a Mental Health place of safety and bed watch activities, supporting ward staff.
• Shift pay enhancements are also available for some call-in or overtime shifts,additional £1.75p/h.Further information will be discussed during the interview proces

Job responsibilities

• Enforce all aspects of health & safety, monitoring standards on a daily basis to ensure compliance with legislation.
• Act as a role model for quality patient care, the Company values, competencies, policies and procedures on all occasions.
• Be the custodian of the Code of Conduct instilling professional behaviour within the team.
• Monitor the standards of patient care for the team to nurture a learning culture and provide creative solutions to facilitate continual improvement.
• Coordinate the recruitment, induction, development and retention of the team.
• Motivate and demonstrate genuine care for the team through professional communication, proficient team meetings, teamworking and coaching.
• Observe and identify potential development areas within the teams performance and ensure they have the skill and motivation to achieve their objectives and business goals alongside managing poor performance for improvement.
• Manage the accurate implementation of electronic systems for capturing required data, review and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Balance professional administration duties with the needs of the team when transitioning patients on duty.
