Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work with LMSW, LCSW, LPC or PLPC required.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health levels of care, insurance authorization, and intake workflows.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary intake contact for inquiries with timely, accurate documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, patients, families, and clinical teams.
• Review clinical information to assist in level-of-care determinations.
• Schedule face-to-face level-of-care assessments within 24 hours of initial contact.
• Communicate Beacon’s services, admission criteria, regulatory requirements, and insurance considerations.
• Facilitate referrals to community-based or alternative levels of care when appropriate.
• Guide patients through the admission process, including obtaining consents and documentation.
• Obtain insurance pre-certifications and coordinate with billing on payer requirements.
• Track and maintain referral data; provide weekly reports to leadership.
• Collect patient and physician feedback for quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in performance improvement activities as directed by leadership.
